His owner died, not one family member care for black little pup trapped in high kill shelter

The Clayton County Animal Control in Jonesboro, Georgia, a facility known for its high kill rate, has just welcomed in kennel resident #171840 and his story is heartbreaking. The unnamed pup, who was left homeless by circumstances he could not control, is now left wondering what the future might hold for him.

Two days ago, this pup’s owner died suddenly. After the heart breaking tragedy, authorities investigating the manner in which his owner died, brought the distraught pup to Clayton, giving shelter staff a list of family contacts of the descendant they should call with the hopes of finding him a home.

Unfortunately for shelter staff, after a full day of sorting out the unnamed pups next to kin contacts, not one of them wanted to volunteer and rescue the pup from his now glib prospects. Sad indeed. Fidonation, thank goodness this pup has you.

If you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the Clayton County Animal Control at 770-477-3509 and reference the shelter ID #171840.

Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding this pup a home. We have done it before, and can certainly do it again.
