12 Year Old Senior Dumped At High Kill Shelter, Trying His Best To Keep a Brave Face

The Carson Animal Shelter is not one of those places you pin your hopes and dreams on to say and write the least. The dogs and cats locked away in kennels at Carson are given just a few weeks, and sometimes even just months to find forever families, until the unthinkable happens: euthanasia.

For VALENTINO 12-year-old pup who resides at the Carson Animal Shelter, he could tell you all about the pain, and rejectionhe feels in this moment, knowing that his future is quite literally at stake. His owner didn’t want him anymore and so after 12 years of loyalty and devotion, he unceremoniously dumped him off at the Carson shelter to fend all alone for himself. Sad Indeed.

A Petharbor listing for this pup reads,

#A5185638 My name is VALENTINO and I'm an approximately 12 year old male Shih Tzu. I am already neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 6/4. I will be available on 6/4. You can visit me at my temporary home at C209..

This sad pup VALENTINO is trying her hardest to keep a brave face as shelter patrons routinely pass her up for younger dogs, according to my source. Thankfully, we can change that today.

SpeakUp, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5185638.
